Our founder, Gary Plourde, is a Registered US Patent Agent with more than two decades of experience in IP strategy, licensing, and technology commercialization. That career spans Tech Transfer advisory work with faculty and emerging companies at institutions including NIH, UC Davis and Fox Chase Cancer Center — navigating complex T2 agreements, IP licensing strategy, and commercialization pathways — and most recently, a role as DefTech Advisor at TEDCO, Maryland's state technology development corporation, where he connected innovators with federal agencies, SBIR/STTR programs, and the government program managers who fund breakthrough technologies. That depth of experience, across academia, clinical research, and the federal sector, is now available directly to you, at rates that reflect the value of an independent expert rather than the overhead of a large firm.
